Any passionate and enthusiastic life sciences fresher’s including but not limited to B. Pharmacy, M. Pharmacy, M. Sc (Life Sciences), M.Sc (Biotech & Microbiology), MBBS, Pharm. D, Pharm.D (Post Baccalaureate), B.Tech & M. Tech (Biotech), BDS, BHMS, BAMS, BNYS and B. Sc and M. Sc course as qualification can join Pharmacovigilance job.

   2. What is the average salary can I expect per annum?

1.8-3 Lakhs per annum for all qualifications, except for Drug Safety Physician MBBS it varies from 5 lakhs to 8 lakhs based on their relevant experiences like Clinical research, Clinical Pharmacist, and Clinical practice is taken into consideration.

 3. Office Timings?

9 AM to 6 PM in few CRO’S and Pharma Companies.

Anyone can clear the interview, but with a prior pharmacovigilance training from institutes like Lara Clinical, Catalyst clinical services, Clini minds, and Gratisol Appropriate guidance from friends, senior’s working in the same department and good referral always helps.

Written tests including, Aptitude, group discussion, pharmacology, pharmacovigilance basics, group discussion and but not limited to safety narrative writing. Face to facing interview/telephonic phases including, first screening round with HR, technical round with team leaders and projects managers including pharmacovigilance knowledge and payscale, benefits are discussed during these.

10. Do we have any Government Jobs for Pharmacovigilance career?

Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO), NewDelhi and India Pharmacopoeia Commision (IPC), Ghaziabad offer’s Technical associate-Pharmacovigilance and Pharmacovigilance Technical associate as entry-level jobs and experienced jobs with relevant experience. They offer both permanent and contractual positions. Currently, in India, more than 80 plus pharmacovigilance service providers are present, which includes pharma companies, contract research organization, and only pharmacovigilance service providers.
